Freelance Development Service Terms
These terms describe the freelance software development and consulting services offered by Alan Bixby, operating as "bxbTechnologies".

Services offered
Custom software development, system integrations, automation, internal business tools, API integrations, data pipelines, analytics tooling, full-stack web development, technical consulting, troubleshooting, and maintenance for existing software systems. Payments

Refund policy
Because these services are custom software development and consulting services, payments for delivered code, completed project milestones, and completed consulting hours are non-refundable. If prepaid work has not yet been performed, the unused portion may be refunded or credited after review.

Cancellation policy
Clients may cancel ongoing work by email. Completed work and time already spent remain billable. Any prepaid amount for work that has not yet been performed may be refunded or credited after review.
Acceptance and revisions
Clients are responsible for reviewing deliverables promptly and reporting requested corrections or concerns. Reasonable revisions may be included when they are within the agreed project scope. New requirements, expanded scope, or changes requested after acceptance may require additional fees.
Default license
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, after full payment the client receives a non-exclusive, perpetual license to use the delivered work product for their internal business purposes. Alan Bixby, operating as "bxbTechnologies", retains ownership of pre-existing tools, reusable code, general knowledge, and development methods used to provide the services.
Warranty disclaimer
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, delivered software and consulting work are provided as-is. No guarantee is made that software will be error-free, uninterrupted, or compatible with all future systems, platforms, or third-party services.
Client responsibilities
Clients are responsible for providing accurate requirements, lawful access to systems and data, necessary credentials, approvals, testing feedback, and production deployment decisions. Clients remain responsible for their own legal, regulatory, security, privacy, and compliance obligations.
Third-party services
Projects may depend on third-party APIs, platforms, hosting providers, software libraries, or data sources. Alan Bixby, operating as "bxbTechnologies", is not responsible for outages, pricing changes, policy changes, access restrictions, or behavior changes by third-party services.
Data and security
Reasonable care is used when handling client systems, credentials, and data provided for a project. Clients should avoid sharing unnecessary sensitive data and remain responsible for managing production access, backups, secrets, user permissions, and compliance requirements unless otherwise agreed in writing.
